Your security matters to us. This page explains how Jade Abacus (Jade Abacus Limited) takes payment and protects your information when you shop with us.

How payments are processed

Payments are taken at checkout through established, trusted payment providers, which may include Stripe, PayPal and Flywire. When you pay, your payment details are sent directly to the provider over an encrypted connection and processed on their secure systems, not ours.

Card data & PCI compliance

Our payment providers are certified to the highest level of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This means we never see or store your full card number on our own servers, it is handled entirely by the certified provider.

Encryption & site security

Our entire site, and especially the checkout, is served over an encrypted HTTPS/TLS connection, so the information you send is protected in transit. We follow current security best practices to keep the store and your data safe.

Currency

All prices and charges on this site are shown and billed in US Dollars (USD). If your card or bank account is in another currency, your bank may apply its own conversion rate and a small foreign-transaction fee.

Refunds & payment issues

Refunds are always returned to the original payment method and account used for the order, this is both for your security and to meet anti-money-laundering (AML) requirements. If you think there's an error with a payment or a charge you don't recognise, contact contact@jadeabacus.com and we'll work with our payment provider to resolve it promptly.

Fraud prevention

To protect you and us, we and our payment providers monitor transactions for signs of fraud. Occasionally an order may be held for a short review or additional verification before it's accepted.
